After my divorce, life became quiet and predictable for me and my 16-year-old daughter, Ava. A week later, the school principal contacted me after discovering an old phone and a handwritten note hidden inside Ava’s locker. The note instructed me to watch a saved garage security video before it could be deleted. In the footage, Ava confronted Ryan late at night in the garage while he showed her a box from the back of his vehicle. Although nothing threatening appeared in the video, Ava clearly looked upset. When I questioned Ryan, he finally explained the truth. Before meeting me, he had discovered he once had a daughter he never knew about, but sadly she had passed away after a long illness.
