Wrestling Community Remembers Joe Doering Following His Inspiring Career and Health Journey

Posted on June 28, 2026 By admin

Professional wrestling fans around the world are remembering the life and career of Joe Doering, whose determination inside and outside the ring earned him widespread respect throughout the industry. Throughout more than two decades in professional wrestling, Doering became known not only for his physical presence and competitive spirit but also for the perseverance he demonstrated while facing significant health challenges. His commitment to the sport and his positive outlook inspired fellow wrestlers, promoters, and supporters who admired his ability to overcome adversity with strength and dignity. Doering began his professional wrestling career in 2004 after training in Windsor, Ontario. As he gained experience, he competed for several promotions across North America before establishing himself internationally. One of the defining chapters of his career came in Japan with All Japan Pro Wrestling, where he became one of the organization’s most accomplished competitors.

During his time there, he captured the prestigious Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship twice and won the World Tag Team Championship on multiple occasions. His performances helped build a reputation as a dependable and respected athlete capable of competing at the highest level. In addition to his success in Japan, Doering also competed for Impact Wrestling, formerly known as TNA, where he captured the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Championship twice. Earlier in his career, he spent time in Florida Championship Wrestling, WWE’s developmental system at the time, further expanding his experience before continuing his successful international career. Throughout his years in wrestling, colleagues consistently praised his professionalism, work ethic, and dedication to the sport.

Away from the ring, Doering faced a series of serious medical challenges that tested his resilience. In 2016, he underwent surgery after doctors discovered a brain tumor, beginning a lengthy recovery that temporarily sidelined his wrestling career. Determined to return, he resumed competing after rehabilitation and continued performing for several more years. In 2022, another brain tumor required additional surgery, and although neurological complications eventually brought his in-ring career to a close, he continued to inspire many through his perseverance and positive attitude. Later, another health setback presented additional challenges, which he faced with remarkable courage and the support of his loved ones.
